My daughter recently attended the half-week summer camp at Horse Shadow Run and had an absolutely incredible experience. From the very first day, she connected deeply with her horse, Bow Tie, and by the end of the week, she was in tears because she didn’t want to leave. From the hands-on horse time to the thoughtful staff and creative activities, every part of this camp made her feel safe, confident, and joyful. She’s already asking to go back and even offered to volunteer just to be around the horses again. We chose the half-week option, which made this opportunity a bit more accessible for our family. A full week of camp is $625, while the half-day option was $375. Camp is definitely an investment, but it’s clear that the experience is thoughtfully crafted and truly impactful for the kids. While HSR doesn’t currently offer discounts or allow volunteer hours to be applied toward tuition, they do go out of their way to help connect families to resources, including information about summer camp awards offered through organizations like the State Employees’ Credit Union. That kind of support meant a lot to us and shows their commitment to helping as many kids as possible experience this special place. Thank you to everyone at HSR for making such a lasting impact. You’ve created a space where kids feel seen, empowered, and deeply connected to the animals and each other. We’re so grateful.

This barn feels like home. Amazing and safe ponies and horses for children and teens of different levels / Staff is supportive, helpful, and know each horse … Stacey is so knowledgeable about biomechanics and equitation. Summer camps are always a hit, too!
