Melanie Dortschy

Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced Western, and English

Melanie is the owner and manager of Horse Shadow Run. She grew up around horses and has 40 years of experience boarding horses and giving lessons. As a CHA certified instructor in both english and western riding, Melanie not only teaches lessons daily, she is also the main instructor for the summer camps and has lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certification. Known at the barn as “Ms. Melanie”, she’s a kind and patient instructor for her students, especially with the young riders. In her spare time, she loves to spend it with her family and, of course, riding!

Stacey Venditti

Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced Western, and English

Since riding with Mary Wanless a leading biomechanics coach from England, Stacey has learned what is necessary to properly align riders so that they can be balanced and more secure in the saddle. She believes that better riding skills help the horse carry riders weight with more ease, making the relationship between horse and rider more harmonious.

Jordan Bishop

Beginner/Intermediate English & Western Instructor

Jordan Bishop is a CHA certified instructor that has been a part of Horse Shadow Run since 2002. She started at HSR when she was 5 years old and knows the in’s and the out’s of how our facility runs, along with each program. Jordan has done it all from local barrel races to showing on the Hunter Jumper circuit at local, C, and a few A-rated shows.
She currently owns and boards her horse Mr. Candy at Horse Shadow Run.

Savannah Owens

Beginner/Intermediate English & Western Instructor

Savannah Owens is a CHA certified instructor that has been riding at horse shadow run for the past 11 years. She has owned and boarded her horses at horse shadow run for the past 3 years. And has experience in the hunter jumper show circuit and has done it all from jumping to western and barrels. She has worked at Horse Shadow Run as a summer camp counselor for the past 7 years, and loves to share her passion and teach the ins and the outs of horses with her students!

Victor Rodriguez

Barn Manager

Victor, also known as the “Balloon Man” has been with Horse Shadow Run since 2008. He always goes above and beyond to ensure our horses are cared for as if they were his own. He works on just about everything, from training new employees, to cleaning pastures and stalls as well as maintenance, feeding and turnout. We could not keep our facility at top quality and our horses happy and healthy without Victor. Be sure to keep an eye out for Victor in the local area, as well as at our annual HSR show making balloon animals!
